My family had an excellent vacation in July, 2012. Seven members of my family went, including Sarah, Scherre, Dad, Martha, Kristy, Megan, and me. Scherre made Scherre made most of the reservations, including all reservations for Sarah and me.

Sarah, Scherre, Dad and I had the same itinerary, whereas Martha, Kristy and Megan went on some alternate activities. To see the complete itinerary for Sarah, Scherre, Dad and me, click here.

The itinerary summary is: plane from Austin/Dallas to Anchorage, train to Denali National Park, helicopter ride over Denali, bus trip to through Denali to the end of the park road, bus back to Anchorage, plane to Kodiak (on Kodiak Island), dinner cruise from Kodiak, plane back to Anchorage, float plane ride over some glaciers, train to Seward, board cruise from Seward, train back to anchorage, and a plane back home to Dallas/Austin.

We spent one night in Anchorage, two nights near Denali National Park, two nights in Kodiak on Kodiak Island, three nights in Girdwood, and the last night on a redeye flight back to Texas.
